Welcome to our FAQ section! Here, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive. We aim to provide you with clear and helpful information to enhance your experience. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!
At The Sleep Lab Hawaii, we strive to ensure your comfort and the accurate recording of sleep data. Here are some guidelines on what to wear: - Bras: Yes, you may remove your bra for the study. - Underwear: It is recommended that you wear pants or shorts to your sleep study. This is because our technicians may need to adjust the wires during the night, and leg wires tend to come off more easily if you are not wearing pants or shorts. - Sleeping Nude: No, you cannot sleep nude. For procedural reasons and your comfort, you must wear clothes as the technicians will occasionally have to enter the room during the night. Following these recommendations will help ensure a smooth and effective study, allowing us to better analyze your sleep patterns and provide you with the best possible care.
When coming to your appointment at The Sleep Lab Hawaii, it's important to bring a few essentials to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. Here's a checklist of what you should bring: 1. Book/Entertainment: You may experience a wait time of up to an hour before setup begins. To pass the time, consider bringing a book or other entertainment. If you enjoy reading before bed, you can do so before the study, but please note that once you are in bed, it will be at the technician's discretion. 2. ID and Insurance Cards: The technician will need to make a photocopy of these documents, so be sure to have them with you.
3. **Eating:** We recommend that you eat at home before arriving for your sleep study. Please avoid foods that might upset your stomach, as this could interfere with your sleep. Note that food will not be provided at the sleep center, so it is essential to have your meal beforehand.
4. **Bathroom facilities:** While our bathrooms are conveniently located close to the sleep study rooms, there are specific protocols to follow. If you anticipate needing a urinal, please bring your own. Keep in mind that you must contact a technician if you need to use the bathroom, as they will need to unhook you from the monitoring equipment.
By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a smooth and effective sleep study experience at The Sleep Lab Hawa 1, where we are dedicated to helping you awaken to a better night's sleep.
At The Sleep Lab Hawaii, our goal is to ensure you get the best sleep possible during your stay. We provide two soft pillows and clean linen and blankets, **but you are more than welcome to bring additional pillows or blankets if that helps you feel more at home.** When it comes to medication, please note that any medication that makes you drowsy or sleepy should not be taken until cleared by our technician.
